Food!  Fun!  Fellowship!  Who wouldn’t say “Yea” to all of these?  Certainly not Senior Moments attendees!  Gathering on the third Friday of each month, women and men of retirement age meet over a meal and provide their own fellowship and fun.  Some have interpreted the name Senior Moments as a reference to lapses in memory.  That was not intended; senior moments are those times when lives are shared.  We strive to take advantage of every moment, to do things together, and to act as though every moment counts.

            While children filled our homes and jobs filled our thoughts, many found it difficult to develop friendships outside those circles.  With childrearing and careers behind us, we find time for Senior Moments.  Time to talk and be assured others are listening.  Time to reminisce and share experiences from the 40s and 50s and later with those who were there too—although perhaps in different places.  Time to share our lives.
