Several activities for the MOPS of Westminster Great Moms Walk are being planned and are sure to provide tons of fun for your entire family. The walk will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the Bluefield City Park. All proceeds will support MOPS of Westminster. Activities will begin at 10 a.m.

The purpose of the event is to provide a fun day for MOPS' families, while raising funds for MOPS of Westminster. Other goals include raising community awareness about MOPS and networking with other area MOPS groups. Please prayerfully consider committing to raise money for this fundraiser. All money raised during the Great Moms Walk will benefit MOPS of Westminster. In addition, the money raised will be allocated to the 2008-09 season. The beginning of the next season depends greatly on this fundraiser, as did the beginning of this season did on last year’s walk.

·         Exclusive access to Yakkity-Yak playground!

·         A visit from the Bluefield West Virginia Fire Department!  The department will have a

truck on display as well as its unique and informative traveling safety house.

·         Bluefield Virginia Police Department will be on hand! Every kid loves to check out police

cruisers!

·         Face painting by Sherrie Jenkins!

·         Games and contests! Linda Finkel and Erika Ward are planning games and contests

for the kids. Prizes will be awarded! Games and contests will begin at 11 a.m.

·         Picnic barbeque! A group of dedicated FOPS (Fathers of Preschoolers) are planning

to grill lunch! The barbeque will be ready to serve by noon.

·         Favor bags! Don’t leave without picking up a favor bag for your little one(s). If you would

like to make a donation to the favor bags, please contact Alicia Spinner who is

preparing the gifts!
